Natural History Museum Visit
On June 22nd 2016 the Science Department took all of the Year 7 students to the Natural History Museum on Exhibition Road in South Kensington. Twelve members of staff and 93 students took the coach to the museum that was founded in 1881 and sees over five million visitors every year. The students were split into smaller groups to seize the opportunity to explore the exhibitions on topics like dinosaurs, human biology, volcanoes and earthquakes, the Big Bang, space, crystals and many more. Their curiosity knew no bounds and they experienced Science in a way that will help them understand the topics we teach at KS3 and KS4. Everyone had an amazing time and we are looking forward to seeing their excitement manifest in our lessons.
