North London Citizens Annual General Meeting
On Tuesday 15th November, we took part in the North London Citizens Annual General Meeting at the City and Islington College
Nine students and three stafff took part in the North London Citizens Annual General Meeting. We joined with other member institutions from Brent, Barnet, Haringey, Camden and Islington- faith groups, schools, universities, youth groups and trade unions, to discuss issues of common concern. We took part because we are proud to be from North London and we know that together we are more powerful than any of us would be alone. We want to stand up against the injustices and hardships that surround our families and our communities. We enjoyed listening to the feedback on the different campaigns- Living Wage, Housing and Community Ladntrusts, Stand Up Stand Out.
We are launching our own London Citizens City Safe Haven on 14th December at 4.00pm. This will be named in memory of our ex student Daniel Omari Smith.
