Police Summer School launch
On July 9th we launched the Police Summer School. Members of the Metropolitan Police Service and our Safer Schools Officers PC Weedon, PC Breakwell and PC Carne were present as were Councillor Shama Tatler whose remit is Highways & Planning and Debbie Huckle from Brent Council. A new initiative this year is that refurbished bicycles are being given to students taking part. As well as the bicycles, the students receive helmets and high visibility jackets . Cycling and Road Safety will form part of their Summer School curriculum. Mr Coyle said: “We’re delighted to be the first school in Brent to get involved in this programme. “We’re confident that our young people will become fitter, happier and more successful students as a result of their participation in this exciting initiative.” Summer School will run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July 31st 2018 until August 23rd 2018.
