May Procession with Our Lady of Willesden Parish
On Sunday 14th May, we joined Father Stephen Willis and the parishioners from Our Lady of Willesden Parish on their annual May procession through the streets of Harlesden NW10 to honour Our Lady. As we walked, the Rosary was recited in English and Portuguese, hymns to Our Lady were sung. Along the way there were blessings for several people with statues and images of Our Lady. As we passed St Matthew's Willesden Church of England there was a shrine to Our Lady set up. When we arrived at the Convent of Jesus and Mary Language College, we listened to the beautiful words of Abbott Hugh Allan O.Praem who is Prior of the Norbertine Priory of Our Lady of Sorrows and St Philip Benizi, Chelmsford, and the Apostolic Administrator of the Prefecture of the Falkland Islands and Ecclesiastical Superior of the Mission sui iuris of the islands of St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha.
